CurrentCost Envi

I recently bought a CurrentCost Envi (cc128) power monitor. I was a bit disappointed with the available software for it, so I wrote my own. I am a Delphi developer by trade, so it was no great effort. If another user wants a copy of my software, then no problems - it is free.

Design concepts
All software that I saw basically just used the history download from the Envi itself. I thought this was poor at best, and certainly not good enough for what I wanted to do with the units. I recently got a high power bill (over AUD$1200), so I really had to work out why. The data from the Envi history readings are not good enough for that.

The other thing is I have a 3 phase house - it had to cater for that. I am also interested in costs - not power usage, so the software had to tell me the costs.

The software
The software is Windows only - and it uses Firebird as the database. It records EVERY reading from the Envi - ie one every 6 seconds. This is a LOT of data. The software is not finished as yet, but it is to a stage where I can use it. If someone else finds it useful, then great. In time I will polish it a lot more, or I so intend.

The charting is exceptionally powerful. You can do almost anything with it. You can add moving averages, or virtually anything else you like.

Caveats
I have a fulltime day job - I cannot spend that much time on this software. I know there are a number of bugs. I will add changes and fixes as I get time. Please do not expect time consuming support though - you get what you pay for!

This is a FREE webhosting site - so there are ADs trying to mix in with my pages. It is not working well. Please bear with it!!! I do not want ot pay to host this site, so it is the best I can do at the moment.
